Our Story
« Théo and I met about two years ago through our partners, who have been friends for nearly a decade. During an evening with friends, we started talking and sharing our experiences, and we quickly realized we had something in common: a genuine desire to build a company together, even though we had no idea yet what field it would be in.
A few weeks later, Théo came to me with a bold idea: blending wine with fruit to create a sparkling and festive cocktail. At first I was skeptical, as a sommelier and a Champagne professional, but I agreed to give it a try. After six months of experiments and research, we finally found the perfect balance and brought Facil’s to life. »
Maxime
« I come from the Champagne region, where my passion for wine naturally grew at the heart of an exceptional terroir. I chose to build my path in this world, beginning with a program in wine marketing in Alsace, followed by studies in viticulture and oenology in Champagne, and finally earning a sommelier diploma at a hospitality school in Paris.
These different experiences allowed me to gain a complete understanding of the world of wine, from the vineyard to the table, combining technical expertise, commercial insight and a deep appreciation of gastronomic culture.
My professional journey then led me to Reims and Paris, where I worked within Champagne Houses as a sales representative both in France and abroad. I developed strong field expertise by collaborating with prestigious establishments and evolving in a demanding and highly competitive environment.
Alongside my career, sport has always played an essential role in my life. Training for and participating in long distance races and triathlons taught me perseverance, discipline and a genuine appreciation for challenge, values that I now bring into my entrepreneurial journey.
In 2024, I decided to take a new step by creating my own company with Théo and launching FACIL’S, a festive, light and accessible drink made entirely in France. My ambition is to modernize the image of wine and to offer a friendly and uninhibited alternative, while remaining faithful to the excellence of the French terroir. »
Théo
« I grew up in the Île de France region, in a family with diverse roots: a mother from Guadeloupe and a father from mainland France. Between the red wine shared at the table and the richly spiced colombo, I grew up in a world where cultures meet and where you learn early to appreciate what the land and traditions have to offer.
This curiosity for taste and balance quickly expanded to other fields. From terroirs to historical landmarks, from generous dishes to the landscapes of our mountains, I wanted to understand everything and explore everything. This is what led me to study economics and mathematics at Paris Dauphine PSL: the search for balance, the quest for the right parameters that, once combined, create a true and harmonious result. Just like a well crafted wine, born from the meeting of the soil, the climate and the skill of the people who shape it.
But it was not only through numbers that I found my path. Three years of travelling across the world, from Vietnam to India, immersed in humanitarian missions, taught me what truly matters: taking action on your own, staying true to your convictions and believing in the power of initiative.
From there came the idea of Facil’s. A cocktail that embodies both innovation and solidarity. A creation designed as a perfect balance: simple, accessible, yet carrying real meaning. And because I believe, just as in rugby, that you never win alone, this adventure is meant to be lived as a team effort. This is why I chose to bring this idea to life with a friend. »
